Although I love Steele's writing, this was not her best. It was written a while ago, at a time when she wasn't had her best. Her books have been better lately. The problem I had the repeating herself over and over. I got to 20% and she was still explain how much the main character loved her family and wanted nothing else. I get, I get in! It got a bit more interesting when things turned out unexpectedly for the devoted wife and mother. But even at that, she kept repeating herself over, and over ad nausea. But I did finish it and it did have a bit of a twist at the end. Steele was very good at the beginning and now, this was written in her 'in between' period.

Book was ok but typos are terrible...
Being able to be in one place for so long and leave it with no regrets is great.
My wife loves the author and the large print editions.
This book was a great read. The story of a woman who loves her life as a wife and mother and is very content, except for the desire that so many of us have, to just have the chance to explore another life just for a little while. I really liked her and felt sad at sad times with her and felt happy in happy times with her but always proud of her.
I think that DS is now using the search and replace method of "writing" her books. The names, hair color, eye color, occupations and locations change, but the stories are all the same. This one was also VERY repetative. If it was said once it was said a 1000 times, Tonya just wanted to be a wife and mother. Her family was the most important thing in her life. I got it the first time it was mentioned.

Like others I suggest that you go to the library to get this book. Not too original and shallow characters. Also did I mention that it is repetative?
I really enjoyed this story. It's a typical Steel novel-nicely written with a great story line. It was a very pleasant and entertaining read.
I love Danielle Steel so I do tend to be a bit bias about her books. This one tends to pull at your heartstrings and your anger strings lol. I loved the story line. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
