Excellent book lots of suspense could not put th it down read in one day and a half. Looking forward to reading more books from Donna Grant!
I admit, I'm a fan of Grant now. I've read a few different books of hers and have enjoyed this series thoroughly. Seems well thought out with good action. I enjoy a good "romance" book if you get my meaning but frivolous and over the top sex scenes get old. Her books seem to find a balance between a good story line and a bit O Fun.
This is the third book in the Druid's Glen series. All the books are good reads, however this is my favorite. You do not need to have read the other two books to enjoy this one, however it does help. It answers multiple questions that the first books left, and is fast paced and action packed. The only downside is that one set of questions was never fully answered for me- but this is not the last book in the series so maybe in time I will get the answers I am looking for. The hero and heroine are very likeable, and she is not just a helpless female. A great read, hope you enjoy it too!
Book Three of the Druid Glen series was a great continuation of Donna Grant's series. It was a real joy to read the 3rd sister's story and get to the prophecy that'd been brought forward from the beginning. So many pieces fell into place - and in a very well-written manner. I would recommend this series highly. Ms. Grant kept me intrigued and ensnared in her story from the first book to the end of this book. I look forward to reading more by this author!
Dartayous is an immortal who has a lot of questions, mostly concerning his origins. He knows he was found on the steps of a monastery as an infant, and the only clue to his heritage was a ring found with him. Growing up, he understood what his duty would be. The day he rescued the young child, Moira, from the chamber where her parents had been killed, was when it began. His main responsibility is to keep her safe until she can play a her part in a prophecy concerning her, and her two sisters. He has kept his heart walled off from Moira, but his growing feelings for her deeply concern him. Regardless, he cannot see a future with her. He is immortal, and she is a gifted, mortal Druid priestess. He is convinced it would be worse only having her for a human span of years than to do without her altogether.

Moira has always seen herself as less than her sisters, and has little self confidence. Fiona and Glenna have already fulfilled their parts in the prophecy, and now she must fulfill her own. She has no real idea of what the prophecy will ask of her, but she is trying to bolster her courage. When the rogue Fae Lugus kidnaps her, after she arrives near the capitol city, she begins to doubt her feelings for Dartayous. Before long, she cannot remember him, her beloved sisters, or her guardian, Frang, the high priest of the Druids.

Lugus is the only Fae to escape the Shadowland, and he wants his revenge for being imprisoned there. He has no qualms about using his Fae abilities to slowly destroy Moira's memories. He wants her as his queen and will let nothing stand in his way. While his released black dragons fly overhead destroying the city he has always loved, he begins to have his own doubts.

While Moira watches the black dragons fly overhead in battle with the Fae dragons, she has a terrible battle of her own to fight. With her memories of her beloved Dartayous stolen, will she regain them in time? Will she be the queen of an evil Fae who wants to control the Fae world, or the mate to the man she has always loved? Her choice will determine whether Scotland and the Fae realm are controlled by evil, or guided by love.

From the wilds of the Highlands to the unparalleled beauty of the Fae realm, Grant weaves a wonderful tapestry in lyrical prose. This, the third installment of the Druid's Glen series, delivers in every way! I just wish there were more in the series to read. (Guess I will have to go back and read them all again.) This is an entertaining trilogy! Very highly recommended!
This entire book series is wonderful! This third installment has to be the most passionate, adventurous, frustrating, and wonderful of all three, and it certainly ties up everything with a nice heartfelt Ahhhhhhh at the end! I wish the cover was sexier in the faces of the warriors, and gave you a glimpse of the Druid priestess, because that is who the book is centered around. A great read! Don't make plans, because you'll have no life until you finish this book!!
I always find a little slice of magic when I pick up a Donna Grant novel. Her descriptions take you away and you feel you are in the land with the people who populate her books. There is always something new, nothing that is trite or so over done you know what is going to happen. Each page is a new revelation. I cherish all my books by Ms. Grant, even though I re-read them time and time again, with each re-read I learn something new. Often times an insight to my own life. I highly recommend Highland Dawn and any other book written by this very talented lady.
