Bitten By Cupid An Argeneau Vampire Novella Lynsay Sands Jaime Rush Pamela Palmer Books

Setting: Various Contemporary
Genre: Paranormal romance
This is an anthology of 3 novellas. I read this in 2/15, but this time I read all 3 stories.
Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands
This is the whole reason I got this book. Sands' Argeneau books are autobuy for me. I love her world building, her characters are likable, and her grammar and usage are excellent. Where she's hit-or-miss is in plot development. Sometimes she has lovely characters shoved into weak plots. I feel that's the case here. The female protagonist in this, Mirabeau, has been a background character in several of the Argeneau novels. She has emotional issues which keep her from forming true friendships. Needless to say, she's horrified to find that Tiny is her fated mate. Prior to this, Tiny played secondary roles in A Bite to Remember and Vampire, Interupted. He is a pleasant personality. It's nice that he gets his love story. However, this feels more like a vignette than a well-rounded story. Yes, things happen, and they get where they are going, but there's no real tension. I give this a solid average rating (3 stars).
Hearts Untamed by Pamela Palmer
This is a new author for me, so I don't really know the world. The characters, however, are pretty well-drawn, and the author's grammar and usage are excellent. This is about Juliane who has been in love with Zeeland for years, but when she offered to take their relationship past friendship, he freaked out and left. He has been gone for 10 years, never coming home or contacting her and she thinks he is disgusted by her because of her forward behavior. But when he finally comes home, she's having problems that can get him killed. I enjoyed the characters, and the plot was interesting, with some nice action. There was an element of deus ex machina with the arrival of a tertiary character, but it was still a dood 4 star story,
Kiss and Kill Cupid by Jaime Rush
Another new to me author. I liked this the best of the three novellas. It falls into the classification of romantic suspense. Kristy Morgan is a travel writer, but after the magazine she was writing for folded, she is looking for something new. Kristy has a quirk, though. She can hear people's thoughts. But when she interviews with the owners of a magazine she'd like to write for, she refreshingly finds that she can't hear Adrian Kruger's thoughts. But somewhere in the coffee shop, she is hearing the thoughts of a killer. So this story is about her relationship with Adrian, as well as the hunt for the kiss and kill Cupid, who takes one victim on Valentine's Day every year. The suspense in the story is well done, and there was a bit of a mystery as to whose violent thoughts Kristy is hearing. Really, my only problem with this is the insta-love. This gets a 4 1/2 star rating.
Overall, this is a good book to take to bed before you turn out the lights. No need to finish the whole thing, because each story has a resolution.

Bitten By Cupid An Argeneau Vampire Novella Lynsay Sands Jaime Rush Pamela Palmer Books Reviews

I love anything that Lynsay Sands writes. She continues on with another Argeneau story without a hitch. They are some of the best stories I have read. They are easy to read with a great story line and the characters are so real. Usually they have humor along with the suspense and romance. These are not for the hard core readers that are looking for say the same type hero as Laura Leigh, J R Ward, or Sherrilyn Kenyon write about (and I love each and every one of their books) but if you want to read a softer verison of them, this is the books for you.
I was so happy to read about Tiny and Mirabeau! And to get to see another side of Lucian. He acts like a dad! These two are so adorable. My heart breaks for the pain and problems Stephanie has gone through. I hope all goes well for that girl.
This was a great three-for-one novellette as I like to call it. Sands/Palmer/Rush - great paranormal stories with romance and hilarious weirdness and sex thrown in. Not bad at all. Took me 2 days to read through it. No spoilers here - read the synopsis or check the book out. It was a worthwhile read.
I am a HUGE Argeneau fan. I love a good shape shifter book. Mysteries are just ok.
All 3 of these stories are mediocre at best. Tiny's story is a short one, and feels longer than the others. There is little relationship building. Mirabeaus story is basically a non event. The only thing that comes out of this story is Stephanie's power emerging, but having read the books after this one first, they were also covered and non-essential to the series either. Leo never made an appearance. This is stand alone. Skip this.

As for the shape shifter Therian story, there was no shifting. There was a sort-of teenage drama to it, but the adult came to the rescue. It had a kind of cliff hanger feel to it at the end, and since the story didn't grab me, I won't be exploring other books by the author.

The Cupid/ Killer mystery. Umm, I didn't read much of it. The first chapter was mostly lame. If the friend wasn't the killer, I'd be surprised. Kinda hard to read a story when your pretty sure your not getting anything new.
This is an anthology featuring the following stories

Vampire Valentine - Lynsay Sands (Argeneau Series) {5 stars}
This story features Mirabeau La Roche & Tiny McGraw. Marguerite is at it again - she has suggested that Tiny and Mirabeau be paired up to protect teenager Stephanie McGill, while her sister Dani is on a romantic vacation with her lifemate Decker. Mirabeau has a lot of issues due to her uncle killing her family when she was seventeen. She fears letting people get close to her because she doesn't want the pain that goes with losing them. Stephanie is dealing with just getting turned and the thought of not getting to see her family again (other than Dani). Suffice it to say they each have issues. Will Mirabeau bolt when she finds out Marguerite suggested she work with Tiny? Is Tiny her lifemate? Will they both accept being lifemates and get together if they are? I really enjoyed this story! I had been looking forward to reading Mirabeau's & Tiny's story and I was not disappointed. I totally recommend you read this story!

Hearts Untamed - Pamela Palmer

Kiss & Kill Cupid - Jaime Rush

I did not read the other stories in this anthology. I will read them and finish my review of this book, however I am reading the Argeneau Series right now.
As of now I think I read every book she has. I didn’t reread some because I needed to read and I just didn’t have anything I want to read and these were so good that you can reread them. They are inmortals Not vampires but they do have to consume blood and they do have fangs. They’re all in the search for their life mate. I think this was the shortest book I’ve ever read I kept waiting for something to happen but nothing happened course they had made like sex but something was just missing. Wanted to hear more of your story.
